MILFORD, CT — The following information has been provided by the Milford Police Department and does not indicate convictions:
Milford police recently made the following arrests:
- A 40-year-old Stratford man was charged May 19 with driving under the influence and evading responsibility after police investigated a hit-and-run that began on Bridgeport Avenue and continued into downtown Milford. Police said the suspect vehicle struck a sign on Broad Street before officers located the driver, who was allegedly under the influence of drugs. Bond was set at $1,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court June 16.
- A 47-year-old Milford man was charged May 18 with evading responsibility and operating without insurance after police said he struck a sign near Broad Street and Greens End Place and left the scene. He was released on a promise to appear in court June 16.
- A 35-year-old woman was charged May 22 with disorderly conduct following a domestic violence investigation. Police said she struck the victim twice in the face. She was released on a promise to appear in court May 26.
- A 60-year-old man was charged May 22 with disorderly conduct and criminal mischief after police responded to a disturbance on Naugatuck Avenue. Police said he caused a disturbance and broke items at the location. He was released on a promise to appear in court June 18.
- A 34-year-old Milford man was charged May 22 with breach of peace, interfering with an officer and criminal mischief following a domestic disturbance at Washington Field. Police said he grabbed the victim by the throat in front of officers, was uncooperative during the booking process and intentionally urinated inside the booking facility. Bond was set at $5,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court May 26.
