MILFORD, CT — The Planning and Zoning Board agreed to a settlement with the owners of Milford Crossing, paving the way for Chick-Fil-A to come to the shopping plaza, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.

In September, the board rejected a bid by the restaurant to construct a location at the 1357 Boston Post Road center. Board members expressed concerns about traffic flow and parking.

The pitch was for a dual-lane drive-thru restaurant on the other end of the parking lot from Barnes & Noble.

At Tuesday night's meeting, the board agreed to a settlement with B33 Milford Crossing LLC by a 7-to-3 vote, Hearst Connecticut Media reported. The developer had filed an appeal following the board's rejection last year.

The new development plan has addressed several of the board's concerns, making traffic and safety improvements for pedestrians and drivers.
