Dennis Allen MacKenzie, 74, of Milford, CT, beloved husband of Michelle Burke MacKenzie, passed away on Friday May 29, 2026. Born on September 29, 1951 in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Harold Allen and Margaret (Vigilant) MacKenzie.
Dennis will be remembered by his family for his sharp sense of humor, always loving a good joke or riddle, and doing crossword puzzles with Michelle. He enjoyed traveling with his family, playing games such as Phase10, inventing games like “Yellow Car”, and sipping on a well-crafted Manhattan. Dennis had an amazing ability to fix anything that was broken or find anything that was lost. The world should most remember him by his immense kindness and his unyielding love for his family.
In addition to his loving wife of 35 years, Dennis is survived by his stepdaughters Elizabeth (Ryan Murphy) Miller and Alexandra (Stephen) Jaser. He is also survived by his siblings, Christopher (Maureen) MacKenzie, Mark (Peg Melnick) MacKenzie, Meg (Kevin) Rooney, and Timothy MacKenzie, as well as his two granddaughters Delia and Calla Murphy, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dennis was predeceased by his parents, sister Katherine Amanda MacKenzie and sister-in-law Sharon MacKenzie.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 4:00 p.m.to 8 p.m., at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street, Milford, CT. Funeral service will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026 at 10:30 a.m., at St. Agnes Church, 400 Merwin Avenue, Milford, CT.
