Hundreds Of Vendors To Fill Downtown Milford For Annual Fair

MILFORD, CT — More than 300 vendors are expected to take part in the Fair on the Half Shell when the annual event returns to the Milford Green on Saturday, Aug. 15.

The fair will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and continues a tradition that has been held in Milford for more than 50 years.

The event will feature artisans, small businesses, nonprofit organizations and food vendors from across Connecticut.

Organizers said visitors can expect handmade goods, artwork, specialty foods and other products, along with more than 20 food trucks serving a variety of cuisines.

Live entertainment and family activities are also planned throughout the day. Attractions include bounce houses, face painting, caricature artists and dunk tanks. The event will also include interactive exhibits focused on environmental education and other activities.

The fair will be held on the Historic Milford Green at 84 Broad St. Admission is free.

The Fair on the Half Shell, formerly known as the Oysterfest Fair, is one of Milford's longest-running annual community events and draws visitors to the city's downtown each summer.
