Man Charged In License Plate Camera Vandalism Case, Milford Police Say

MILFORD, CT — A man accused of damaging four license plate readers in Milford has been arrested, according to police.

The 20-year-old Milford man was charged with four counts of first-degree criminal mischief and three counts of conspiracy to commit criminal mischief.

Police said the man turned himself in on an active arrest warrant Aug. 1.

He was released on a promise to appear in Milford Superior Court on Sept. 1.

The surveillance cameras have been a hot-button issue in the state recently. The state is considering a moratorium on the use of such cameras, with the city considering a similar measure.
