Christopher J. Roy, 64, of Milford, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026, with his loving family close by in spirit. Chris was born on January 26, 1962, in Norwalk, CT, to Lucien and Lorna Roy, second to his twin brother Charles. Chris graduated from Norwalk High School in 1980, and he attended Long Island University, C.W. Post Center.

Chris was a very funny guy. He boasted a quick, acerbic wit and a unique sense of humor, and was a keen observer of people's foibles. The wisecracks came early and easily for Chris. As far back as middle school, he brought down the house with uncanny impressions of his teachers at the school talent show. Later on Chris continued to pursue stand-up comedy, performing his routines at venues such as the Treehouse Comedy Club and the Plank House. His recitation of funny movie lines and hilarious parodies at family gatherings will forever stay in our hearts.

Chris had a lifelong love of entertainment and sports. Besides his stand-up comedy, he tried his hand at acting, playing a lead role in a youth production of the musical "Oklahoma." He was an avid movie buff, always ready with a sharp take on memorable scenes or quirky portrayals. Sports played a major part in Chris's life. He relished playing and watching baseball, football, and golf, and the family gatherings around the TV to watch golf majors became a mainstay of Roy family life. Chris served as a kicker on his high school football team. He later developed a passion for playing fantasy football and baseball. A devoted Dallas Cowboys and New York Mets fan, Chris watched many a Mets game at Shea Stadium and Citi Field. He also enjoyed being part of softball and bowling leagues with his friends and brother Chuck.

In the business world, Chris worked as a travel agent for Robustelli Travel in Stamford before spending 10 years as a Data Analyst with Penny Publications in Norwalk. He loved to travel and especially enjoyed accompanying his family on trips to the Caribbean islands.

Above all, Chris will be remembered for his kind heart, humor-filled personality, and deep love of family. He was extremely close with his loved ones and treasured the time he spent surrounded by them. He had a way of bringing laughter and fun wherever he went, creating countless memories that will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed.

Chris is survived by his five siblings: Michael Roy (Gail Bogossian), LuAnne Roy, Timothy Roy (Marie), Susan Haven (Alan), and Charles Roy (Lisa). As well as many beloved nieces, nephews, family and friends.

The family sincerely thanks the caring staff at Civita Care at West River for the kindness, compassion, and care they gave to Chris. We are truly grateful for all they provided Chris.

A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, September 17, at 11:00 am, at First United Church of Christ Milford, 34 West Main Street, Milford CT 06460. A luncheon will follow in the Church Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Chris's name to either the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
