MILFORD, CT — The following information has been provided by the Milford Police Department and does not indicate convictions:
- A 23-year-old Milford man turned himself in Sept. 17 on an active warrant charging reckless driving, interfering with an officer, driving without insurance, misuse of plates and disobeying an officer's signal. Police said he positioned his motorcycle in front of a cruiser and did not move, failed to obey traffic signals and then fled in a reckless manner when officers attempted a motor vehicle stop. Police said the motorcycle was uninsured and unregistered. He was released on a promise to appear in court Oct. 14.
- A 37-year-old Milford man was charged Sept. 17 with larceny of a motor vehicle after police received an alert about a stolen vehicle entering Milford. Police said officers located the vehicle on Bridgeport Avenue and determined the man was driving it. Bond was set at $1,000 and he was scheduled to appear in court Oct. 15.
- A 48-year-old Milford man was charged Sept. 17 with breach of peace after police investigated a threatening incident. Police said he screamed profanities outside the victim's home. He was released on a promise to appear in court Oct. 15.
- A 34-year-old Milford man was taken into custody Sept. 19 on an active warrant charging violation of a protective order. Police said he violated a full no-contact protective order by calling the victim and yelling. Bond was set at $10,000.
- A 43-year-old Johnson City, NJ, man was charged Sept. 19 with sixth-degree larceny and possession of a shoplifting device after police responded to Burlington on Boston Post Road. Police said he stole $316.87 worth of merchandise and used pliers to remove sensors. He was released on a promise to appear in court Oct. 13.
- A 46-year-old Milford woman was charged Sept. 20 with violation of a protective order and first-degree failure to appear after police responded to a Milford residence for a possible domestic violence incident. Police said she violated a protective order and also had an active warrant for failing to appear in court. Bond was set at $12,500 and she was scheduled to appear in court Sept. 21.
- A 24-year-old Milford man was charged Sept. 20 with driving under the influence after police found a Honda Civic facing the wrong direction on Bridgeport Avenue after it had crashed into a parked vehicle. Police said he was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol. He was released on a promise to appear in court Oct. 20.
- A 55-year-old Stratford man was taken into custody Sept. 21 on an active warrant charging sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Police said he stole a vacuum valued at about $300 from Boscov's in June. He was released on a promise to appear in court Oct. 20.
