On Friday, September 25, 2026, Carol Casey Stack entered into eternal rest. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rodman Stack, and her brothers John R. Casey and David B. Casey. Carol was born March 8, 1936, to Daniel G. Casey and Cecilia Wagner Casey, and at a young age she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy. Carol led a full and successful life, graduating from Milford High School and the University of Bridgeport with honors. Carol's early career was as an accountant for a law firm in Bridgeport and later for Joseph Day Construction Company in Milford. This was followed by many years working for the City of Milford until she retired. Carol's strong Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life. She attended Mass daily and sang in the church choir, first at St. Ann's and then at St. Mary's. Carol married James R. Stack on October 15, 1977, and they lived on Shelter Cove Road in Milford until James passed in 2006. She later moved to her sister's family home in North Branford. Carol leaves behind her brother Daniel G. Casey and wife Barbara; a sister, Cecilia Casey Martin, and husband Joseph; her sisters-in-law Eileen Casey and Linda Casey; and many nieces and nephews. Special thanks to Carol's caregivers, Marika M. Khijakadze, Barbara Law, and Tatyana Mileto. Carol lived her life with remarkable strength and grace, leaving a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know and love her. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Cody-White Funeral Home in Milford, CT. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow on Saturday at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Milford, CT.
