Samuel Randolph, 91, of Milford, Connecticut, passed away on October 12, 2026, leaving behind a lifetime of love, laughter, cherished memories, and a family who adored him.
Born on May 26, 1935, in Fayetteville, Tennessee, Samuel was the beloved son of Ruby Randolph and Samuel Randolph. He carried with him the values of hard work, dedication, and love for family throughout his life.
Samuel spent most of his working years as a skilled welder at Textron Lycoming/Avco, where he demonstrated the strong work ethic and commitment that defined his character.
Samuel was a man who found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved being outdoors, tending to his yard, washing his cars, and taking special pride in waxing his gorgeous Mustang. On a beautiful day, you could often find him cruising along the beaches of Milford with the top down, country music playing.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and a way of making those around him smile. His family will forever hear his familiar expressions, "The thing of it is..." and "The good Lord willing..." — simple words that became such a beloved part of who he was. Those little sayings, once heard so often, will now be among the memories his family treasures most.
But above all else, Samuel's greatest joy was his family.
He leaves behind the love of his life, his devoted wife of 66 years, Jacqueline Randolph. Their marriage was a remarkable love story, one built on unwavering devotion, companionship, and a bond so deep and beautiful that words can hardly do it justice. Through 66 years of life's joys and challenges, they shared something truly extraordinary. Their love was the kind that others admired and the kind that will continue to inspire their family for generations to come.
Samuel was a wonderful and loving father to his daughter, Stacey, and leaves behind his son-in-law, Kevin Gendron. He was an extraordinary grandfather to his granddaughters, Olyvia Gendron, Sophia Gendron, and Ava Gendron. He also leaves behind his grandsons, Samuel Mitchell, Travis Mitchell, and Jesse Ruddy. The love he had for his family was immeasurable, and the memories they shared with him will remain in their hearts forever.
Samuel is also survived by his brother, James Randolph, and his sister, Margie Mariano.
Those who loved Samuel will remember his laughter, his familiar sayings, his love of the outdoors, and the sight of him proudly driving his Mustang along the Milford shoreline. Most importantly, they will remember a man who loved deeply and was deeply loved in return.
Although his family must now learn to navigate life without his physical presence, the love he gave them will never fade. It will live on in their stories, their traditions, their laughter, and in the generations that follow.
A celebration of Samuel's life will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anne's Church in Milford, Connecticut.
And as Samuel himself would so often say, "The good Lord willing..." we will all be together again someday.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
