Ken leaves behind his beloved wife of over 43 years, Debbie, with whom he built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. He was the proud father of two sons, Kenny (Liz) and Eric (Megan), and the adoring grandfather of Ryan, Jason, Alissa, Anthony, and Sophia. Above all else, Ken treasured his family. The love and devotion he had for his wife, children, and grandchildren were immeasurable, and they were truly the center of his world.

He is also survived by his loving mother, Elizabeth Ruff; his brothers, Bobby (Dina), David (Shelly), and Todd (Ronnie); his sister, Beth Guidone (Ray); his brother in laws, Dennis Takacs and Mike Viera; and many cherished nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Robert K. Ruff, and his brothers, Troy Ruff Sr. and Trent Ruff.

Ken was truly one of a kind. Known to so many as "the nicest guy in the world," he was the kind of man who would drop everything to help someone in need. He never expected anything in return and would give the shirt off his back without a second thought. His kindness, generosity, and genuine care for others left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. To know Ken was to love him.

For over 40 years, Ken was a familiar and beloved face at Midtown Auto in Bridgeport. He also treasured the friendships and camaraderie he found at VFW Post 7788 in Devon, where countless stories were told, laughs were shared, and memories were made. Among those friendships was the special bond he shared with his best buddy, Danny.

When Ken wasn't spending time with family or friends, there was a good chance he was out riding his Harley-Davidson. He loved the freedom of the open road, the rumble of his bike, and the simple joy of a good ride. He also enjoyed snowmobiling in Vermont, embracing adventure and making memories along the way.

Ken didn't need grand gestures to make an impact. He showed his love in the simplest and most meaningful ways: by showing up, lending a hand, sharing a laugh, and always putting the people he cared about first. He worked hard, loved deeply, and lived life on his own terms. His greatest legacy isn't measured in the things he accomplished, but in the countless lives he touched and the love he leaves behind.

Though his ride here has come to an end, the love he gave, the memories he made, and the lives he touched will live on.

Ride free, Ken. Until we meet again.

A Celebration of Life honoring Ken will be held on Friday, November 13, 2026, from 4:00–8:00 p.m. at VFW Post 7788 in Devon, Milford, Connecticut.

It is only fitting that Ken's life be celebrated in a place that meant so much to him, surrounded by the family, friends, and community he loved. All are welcome to gather, share their favorite stories, remember the good times, and raise a glass in honor of a man who meant so much to so many.
