Paddling for a Purpose - Jeff Browning is going to Kayak Across Long Island Sound, starting from Captain's Cove in Bridgeport and ending in Port Jefferson, NY. Jeff is attempting this to raise awareness and as a fund raiser for the CT Hemophilia Society. Jeff is a severe hemophiliac and is doing this to prove you can do anything if you put your mind to it.
The event takes place on August, 11 2012 leaving from Captains Cove in Bridgeport. There will be a "landing party" at Portside Bar and Grill starting at 1:00pm, featuring some locally brewed beer in Long Island and music and food. The day involves Watching Jeff leave at 9:30, Take the ferry over to Port Jeff and the landing Party and returning on the ferry at 5:00 when the party is over.
