Ann Carmichael was born September 11, 1925, in Bridgeport, CT. She was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Cedric Carmichael. Ann was the daughter of Percival and Ann McMellon Chadwick. Ann was a long-time resident of Milford as her family moved to Devon when she was almost a year old. She is survived by her three daughters:Nancy Brown (Paul) of Brooks, ME; Joanne Bradbury (Tom) of East Hampton, CT; and Susan Gimbut (Tony) of Sandy Hook, CT. She has four grandchildren: Dr. Sarah Tomalty (Chris) of Brooks, ME; Randy Brown (Kathryn) of Fairfax, VA; Matthew Bradbury of East Hampton, CT; and Shane Gimbut of Milford, CT. In addition, she is survived by four great-grandchildren: Adam and Owen Tomalty, and Ashlyn and Connor Brown. Ann was predeceased by four brothers and their spouses: Thomas Chadwick (Emma), Percival (Margaret) Chadwick, Frank (Maxine) Chadwick and Herbert Chadwick and is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Ann was a graduate of Milford High School, the class of 1943. She was a fifty-plus member of the United Church of Christ in Devon where she also served as church secretary and where she and her husband made many friends.
