The Inland-Wetlands Agency Commission will hold a hearing 7:30 p.m. May 6 in Conference Room C of the Persons Government Center.

Arnold Peck is listed as the manager of the proposal and it’s located near the Orchards Golf Course. Because it’s an affordable housing application it will be difficult for the city to reject the plans. The burden of proof is on the citty and not the developer to prove why the proposal shouldn’t be constructed.

The Milford Planning and Zoning Board already rejected a 257-unit affordable housing complex on Bic Drive. Again the developer has vowed to the sue the city, and routinely courts side with the developer over the municipalities in this matter.
Recently, the PZB settled with a developer after previously rejecting their bid to construct an 8-unit affordable housing complex in Woodmont at 1556 New Haven Avenue. Now seven of the eight units will be built, much to the chagrin of neighbors, who vehemently oppose the project.

The existing house and garage on the property will be demolished, which will lead to a total of five buildings and three units in each, the Mirror reports.
