
Arlene Elmo, age 84, of Milford, cherished wife for 55 years of Louis V. Elmo, Sr., died on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, surrounded by her family. Arlene was born in Bronx, NY on July 13, 1940, to the late Carl and Grace Ferrara Mattei. Arlene received her master’s in education and was a beloved Kindergarten teacher in the Milford School System for many years.
Arlene was passionate not only about teaching but about helping others. She was an active church member and Eucharistic minister. She loved being surrounded by her grandchildren, watching dancing with the stars, and rooting for Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
In addition to her beloved husband, Louis, Arlene is survived by her two adored sons, Brian Charles Elmo and wife Lorraine of Trumbull, and Louis Vincent Elmo, Jr. and wife Rebecca of Milford, sister, Genevieve Chase and her husband William of Monroe, four beautiful grandchildren, Brian Charles Elmo Jr., Caitlyn Arlene Elmo, Madeline Faith Elmo, Grace Rebecca Elmo, and nephew, Kevin Chase and niece, Jennifer Chase.
Family and friends may call on Friday, October 11th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at THE GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 12th at 10:00 a.m. DIRECTLY in Saint Agnes Church (Precious Blood Parish), Milford. Interment will follow in Saint Mary Cemetery, Milford.
