
A 48-year-old man is under arrest for a stabbing incident that took place in Milford on April 19.
On Wednesday, the Milford Police Department took custody of Amado Rodriguez in Pennsylvania regarding an outstanding arrest warrant held by this department for the incident.
Rodriguez was processed, held on a $500,000 bond, and is expected to be arraigned at Milford superior Court on Wednesday afternoon.

He was charged with first-degree assault, first-degree assault on an elderly person, home invasion, first-degree burglary, second-degree larceny, and criminal violation of a restraining order.
On April 28, at approximately 11:30 am, members of the Milford Police Department in conjunction with the FBI and the Philadelphia Highway Patrol located Rodriguez in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he was taken into police custody.

Rodriguez was found sitting on a park bench on Penn Street and Delaware Avenue. During his apprehension, Rodriguez brandished a razor knife (box cutter) at the law enforcement agents. There were no injuries reported.
He was held in the custody of the Philadelphia Highway Patrol before being extradited to Connecticut.
Shortly after 7:30 p.m. on April 19, the Milford Police Department responded to 124 Washington St. for a domestic dispute with a report of a stabbing. Responding officers found a female with a serious laceration to the neck and a male who had suffered a head injury and a laceration to his neck.
EMS responders transported both the male and female to area hospitals where they were in listed in stable condition.
Through investigation, police determined that Rodriguez was the suspect in the double stabbing.
Rodriguez is accused of entering the home on Washington Street without authorization and entered the female’s bedroom where he cut her throat with a knife while she lay sleeping. He then attacked the elderly male who has vision impairment. The female victim is a live in care taker for the male victim.
Rodriguez is the estranged spouse of the female victim and was said to have ties in New Britain, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He fled the scene, stealing a vehicle belonging to the male occupant.
