Athletic Brewing Hosts Donation Drive For Hurricane Relief In Milford

MILORD, CT — Athletic Brewing Company will be accepting essential goods and is encouraging local support by dropping off contributions in the designated containers located at the entrance of the company's office.

"Athletic is committed to delivering these much-needed items to affected communities as quickly as possible," according to a statement.

The collection started Monday and will continue through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Drop-off containers are located at the entrance of the Athletic Brewing office, inside the first set of doors at Athletic Brewing Company at 75 Cascade Blvd. in Milford.

Items needed include:

• Hygiene products – Toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, bar soap, tampons/pads, diapers, wipes, paper towels, toilet paper
• Shelf-table and ready-to-eat, nutrient-dense foods – Soups, canned meats, beans, jerky, canned vegetables and fruits, canned pasta, cereals, granola bars, protein bars, nuts and dried fruits
• Hazard cleaning supplies – Paper towels, buckets, rags, gloves, bleach, disinfecting wipes
• Newly purchased cold weather supplies – Blankets, sleeping bags, hand and foot warmers, cold weather clothes for children and adults (jackets, thermal socks, gloves, scarves.)
• Miscellaneous items – Flashlights, coolers, batteries, children’s toys

Please note: Perishable foods and secondhand items, such as clothes, will not be accepted.
