MILFORD, CT — It's no secret there have been plenty of cases documenting the theft of cars from all across the state, certainly not just in Milford.
But a well-known attorney, Thomas Lynch, went before the Board of Police Commissioners in November and shared his story and appreciation for the police department's professionalism in helping him to get his car back so quickly.
According to police commission meeting minutes, Lynch expressed gratitude for the efforts of Officer Bodnar with regard to an incident occurring Sept. 10 when Lynch parked his car in a lot at a local gas station/convenience store and left his keys in the center console.

While he was in the store, his car was stolen, and Bodnar was dispatched and took Lynch's statement and advised him to contact Mercedes-Benz as they have a GPS tracking system for the vehicle.
He noted that a short while later the car was located. He thanked "Bodnar for her professionalism, adding she is an excellent example of our department’s staff under the direction of Chief (Keith) Mello."
