"We are so honored to have had Dave visit us here at Jimmy’s, but all the praise truly belongs to Jimmy — the man, the myth, the legend. Over 40 years in the business and he’s still got it, baby! We love you, Jim — the best boss and the greatest guy we know! We owe it all to you big guy!

"Family over everything. That’s what makes Jimmy’s special. Co-workers and customers that have become family. The birthday parties, the out of town visitors, the weekly regulars, we could go on and on! We are so lucky. And even luckier that we get to do this in Milford!!"

Jimmy's underwent renovations recently and reopened at the beginning of the year, according to the pizzeria's website. The restaurant has been family-owned and -operated since 2001.

Portnoy also recently hit up pizzerias in Thomaston, Shelton, and East Haven, according to Hearst Connecticut Media.
