Curious George will make an appearance at Barnes & Noble's Summer Kick Off Party on Saturday, June 14 at 11 am. Children will have the opportunity to listen to a story about the love of a father and make a special present for their own special Dad.
Young readers in grades one to six will receive Barnes & Noble Summer Reading Journals. When they read eight books and return their journals, children can choose a free, age-appropriate book to take home.
"Our goal is to get the kids to keep their reading skills up throughout July and August and also to continue to develop their love for books," said Karen Dydzuhn, Barnes & Noble Milford's Community Relations Manager. "We have a roster of fun events scheduled throughout the summer to bring kids into our store and realize that we are a great place to hang out, have a good time and, yes, read!"
After spending time in the Children's Books Department, we invite everyone to play a Super Heroes game and create a book mark.
Mark your calendars now for Batman Day on July 23 and FROZEN Party on August 1. Check the Barnes & Noble Milford's website daily for updated programs and events.
