Big Weather Changes On The Way For CT This Week

CONNECTICUT — Sunday's weather in Connecticut was amazing and the first half of the upcoming work week looks good and then Thursday serves as the turning point as much colder air moves in at the end of the week.

We won't hit 70 degrees on Monday like we did on Sunday but we'll still be above normal on Monday and Tuesday, and Wednesday looks great with sunshine and temps into the 50s.

On Monday, we'll see sunshine and temps in the low to mid 40s. Some rain showers are possible Tuesday afternoon and evening. Some more rain showers are possible late Wednesday and early Thursday before temps plummet and much colder air moves in.

Friday will be sunny but temps will only be around 30 degrees and then our attention shifts to the upcoming weekend where we may see snow and rain on Saturday and Sunday. It looks like northern Connecticut will see mainly snow while southern Connecticut will see a mix of rain and snow.

The National Weather Service says, "For the system next weekend there is some uncertainty as to how long a period of light snow will occur before a transition to all rain Saturday afternoon. This will be dependent on how quickly the cold air is scoured out as high pressure moves east."
