Blaze Rips Through Milford Home, Fire Officials Say

Crews responded to the call Monday afternoon. The fire is under investigation.

MILFORD, CT — Firefighters extinguished a blaze that tore through a Milford home Monday afternoon, according to fire officials.

Crews responded to the call at a Bryan Hill Road home at about 2:30 p.m.

Firefighters arrived at the home to find heavy smoke and fire at the rear of the building. The homeowner was outside and reported that everyone was out of the house.

Crews reported high heat heat while battling the blaze on the home's first and second floors. Firefighters cut a hole in the roof to provide ventilation.

No injuries were reported. The American Red Cross was notified.

"Crews did an outstanding job overcoming challenges including cold, wind, snow, terrain and slick roof conditions," fire officials said.

The fire is under investigation.
