Boys & Girls Village Launches PowerSchool Info System
PowerSchool helps administrators and teachers track and analyze students' progress , and improves communication with parents and schools.

From BGV: As Boys & Girls Village (BGV) students and parents prepare to go back-to-school, they will be greeted with a new information system – PowerSchool – for its Charles F. Hayden Day School, a K-12th grade state approved special education school.
PowerSchool, a leading provider of K-12 education technology solutions, helps administrators and teachers track and analyze students’ progress, and improves communication with parents, students and school districts.
“Charles F. Hayden School provides a nurturing environment where students experience emotional, behavioral and academic growth,” says Jon Oddo, Vice President of Education and Vocational Services. “We continually look to provide our students with the best resources to help them achieve their goals. By implementing PowerSchool, we hope to continue to empower and encourage our students to excel academically as well as enhance communications with our parents.”

The cloud-based system provides BGV administrators, teachers, parents and students with a unified and interactive classroom experience. Weekly lesson plans, homework assignments and other classroom activities can be uploaded to the portal on a daily basis. Additionally, PowerSchool supplies data analysis, trend reports and report cards allowing teachers and parents to evaluate and monitor a student’s progress throughout the year. The system also tracks daily attendance and enrollment information.
Classroom portals can be accessed via an iPhone or online account.
