Milford Police Release Photos of Walmart Armed Robbery Suspect: UPDATE
The store was closed for a portion of Thursday morning as police investigated. But police said the store was never in a lockdown.

Milford, CT - Milford Police say they are investigating an armed robbery that occurred at Walmart early Thursday morning.
Police released photos of the suspect late Thursday morning and are asking for the public's assistance in catching the accused.

At 7:40 a.m. a male subject entered Walmart, located at 1365 Boston Post Road. The male went to the service desk and implied that he had a handgun in his waistband and demanded money from the clerk, who complied, police said.
The male was seen fleeing the store through the front door and running west across the parking lot, police said. The suspect possibly entered a light colored 4 door vehicle waiting in the area, police said.

Milford police say contrary to reports the store was never placed in a lockdown. Police said the scene of the crime was sectioned off to keep people out.
