In April of 2011, Scotty Hasting was left fighting for his life, flying out of Afghanistan on a medivac after being shot ten times. He is an Army veteran and Purple Heart medal recipient, and is now on a mission to help anyone struggling with loss or their mental health find solace through his music. Since beginning his country music career, he has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, National Memorial Day Concerts, and the U.S. Army's 250th Anniversary Festival in Washington, D.C.
In classic Nashville fashion, a chance encounter with the son of Black River Entertainment's President brought him into the sights of same the independent label who discovered country superstar Kelsea Ballerini.
Having found his escape from PTSD through archery and music, Scotty devotes his time and talents to several organizations, including Creativets, Guitars 4 Vets, and more to offer other veterans the same tranquility.
