Please help us stop human trafficking in Milford

Event Details

Milford City Parsons Government Center, 70 W River St, Milford, CT, 06460

Please help us stop human trafficking in Milford.

Join us at the Board of Alderman meeting on May 4 at 7:30 p.m. at 110 River Street Milford to ask them to enact an ordinance that makes it as difficult as possible for traffickers to use Milford hotels or truck stops for their illegal activities.

St. Raphael Parish in Milford is active in this fight against human trafficking and asks you to join us. Please come to show support and even testify.

With 10 hotels and a popular truck stop, Milford has many “risk factors” that can attract illegal human trafficking activities. Other cities in CT with similar “risk factors” have enacted special ordinances aimed at preventing trafficking.

We propose the Board of Aldermen enact a city-wide ordinance, aimed at educating hotel and service plaza workers about the signs of trafficking, and what to do if they see any signs. Human trafficking happens everywhere, even in Milford, and we’re looking for your assistance to work with the city to prevent trafficking in Milford.”

For more information, please call Elizabeth Simonetti 770-845-6779 or Wally Hauck 203-874-8484.
