Second Saturday Workshops and Session with Ivan Goff P.V. O’Donnell Branch CCE is delighted to begin our 2026-2027 season by welcoming legendary piper and flute player, Ivan Goff! Ivan will join us as the guest host of our session at Irish Heritage Society of Milford, and will teach a special workshop thereafter at 58 Maple Street, Milford. We are so looking forward to this special afternoon of music and learning!
About Ivan Goff: Originally from Dublin, Ivan Goff is an acclaimed uilleann piper and flautist and a longtime member of the renowned Irish traditional band Danú. Over his career, he has toured internationally and collaborated with many of Irish music’s most celebrated figures, including Iarla Ó Lionáird, Mícheál Ó Raghallaigh, Martin Hayes, Cormac Breatnach, Eileen Ivers, Dervish, and Lúnasa. More recently, he has performed with the all-star ensemble Irish Music Masters, alongside John Doyle, Séamus Egan, John Williams, and Cathie Ryan. Since moving to New York more than twenty years ago, Ivan has built an impressive résumé that spans film, theater, and orchestral work, including appearances with the New York Philharmonic. His performances have taken him to prestigious venues such as MoMA, The Guggenheim, Disney Hall in Los Angeles, and Broadway stages in productions like Riverdance, Sting’s The Last Ship, and Come From Away. Ivan holds master’s degrees from University College Dublin and Queen’s University Belfast, as well as a Ph.D. in music from New York University.
Join us at the IHSM club in Milford, CT. All sessions are FREE and OPEN TO THE PUBLIC to musicians, dancers, storytellers, poets and anyone interested in Irish culture. For those wishing to financially contribute, the suggested donation is $5 a person and goes directly to support the continuation of bringing wonderful traditional Irish musicians to our branch.
