Obituary: Catherine Kelly Muir, 65, Of Milford

Catherine Kelly Muir, age 65, of Milford passed away on May 17, 2025, surrounded by family and friends. She was born on June 20, 1959, and was the daughter of Francis J. and Marilyn J. (Mitchell) Kelly of Milford. In addition to her parents, Cathy is survived by her siblings, Frank Kelly (Fran), Mike Kelly, Peggy Erickson (Will), Lynn Kelly, Tim Kelly (Cindy), several nieces, nephews and many dear cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Mark Kelly and her niece, Gillian Davis. Cathy worked as a finance manager for Air Express International for many years. She transferred to England, to automate accounting systems throughout Europe, Asia, and New Zealand. After 27 years in England, she returned to the States and continued her career in finance. Cathy had a true spirit of an Irish woman. She loved to entertain, hosting many holiday parties and picnics at her house. Cathy loved to watch Hallmark movies and The Golden Girls. Cathy’s dogs, Nelson, Morgan, Harvey, Benny, and Poppy, were the loves of her life. Her cousin Amy’s dog, Albert, was there with her until the end. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, May 23, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. (DIRECTLY) at St. Mary Church (Precious Blood Parish) 70 Gulf Street, Milford. Interment to follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Milford. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements have been entrusted with the DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 BRIDGEPORT AVENUE, MILFORD. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Humane Society or the American Cancer Society.
