Children's Facility Proposal To Be Considered By Milford Board

A developer is pitching a project that the Planning and Zoning Board will review this week.

MILFORD, CT — A developer is pitching a children's indoor playground to be built in Milford.

The project at 260 to 284 Quarry Road is scheduled for a public hearing at the next Planning and Zoning Board meeting. The meeting will be Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 7 p.m. at City Hall.

The proposal requires the board to approve a special exception for it to move forward.

The applicant, Hakki Akkaya, is seeking to opoerate an indoor playground and child's party facility in an industrial zone. The facility would be 5,931 square feet.

The space will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. on weekdays, with a maximum of 20 children per day. Each session will be one hour long.

It's estimated that the facility will require 15 parking spaces.
