City of Milford Seeks Community Input for American Rescue Plan Funds

The City and the Board of Education have recently received funding from the U.S. Treasury’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA). Residents are asked to provide suggestions and recommendations regarding project proposals.
Guidelines and timeline requirements may be found here. Projects must fit the federal criteria.

Projects must be related to the following general categories of eligibility set forth by the federal legislation:
- Supporting the Public Health Response to COVID-19
- Addressing the Negative Economic Impacts of COVID-19
- Replacing Loss of Public Sector Revenue
- Water or Sewer Infrastructure
- Broadband Infrastructure
- Equity Focused Services
- Local governments cannot use funds for deposit into any pension fund or rainy-day fund. In addition, the funds cannot be used for directly or indirectly offsetting a tax cut.
