City Of Milford Opens Warming Centers Due To Cold Snap

The city has two locations that will be open this week as wind chill values will dip below zero.

MILFORD, CT — Over the next couple of days, cold temperatures combined with gusty winds will result in wind chill values remaining in the single digits and at times dropping below zero, particularly during the overnight hours.

Please note that the Beth-El Center No Freeze Program will be open, 24/7 from 6pm Monday, January 6th 2025 to Friday January 10th 2025 at 8am. We are located at 90 New Haven Avenue, Milford CT 06460. Meals and showers are available as well.

The Milford Public Library will also be open on the following dates and times:

  • Monday, January 6: 10-5 pm
  • Tuesday, January 7: 10-8:30 pm
  • Wednesday, January 8: 10-8:30 pm
  • Thursday, January 9: 10-8:30 pm
  • Friday, January 10: 1-5 pm

Anyone in need of shelter is urged to call 2-1-1 to get connected to these services or visit 211ct.org to view a list of locations.
