MILFORD, CT — The Milford Public Works Department will chip uncut Christmas trees for recycling mulch again this year.

Know Before You Go: For safe handling and recycling of the wood chips, leave your tree uncut, remove all lights, ornaments, tinsel, netting, wire, screws, and plastic bags before bringing the tree to the collection site.

The drop off locations will be:

  • Walnut Beach Parking Lot - 8:00am – 2:30pm on Saturday, January 11, 2025
  • Tri-Beach Parking Lot - 8:00am – 2:30pm on Saturday, January 11, 2025
  • Milford Transfer Station, 755 Oronoque Road, (Google Maps address 831 Oronoque Rd.) will accept trees during normal operating hours.

Curbside collection will take place as weather and schedules permit.
