Obituary: Clare B. Geoghegan, 78, Of Cheshire, Milford
She was a longtime Branch Manager of The Milford Bank Woodmont office.

Clare B. Geoghegan of Cheshire, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday,
February 19, 2025. She was born in Milford on March 19, 1946 to the late William and Lucille
Bannon and was predeceased by her brother, William John Bannon Jr and late husband,
Lawrence De Ninis Jr.
Clare will be sadly missed by her sister: Maureen Moses, and husband, Edward of Tennessee;
her sons: Marc Geoghegan and wife Kerry of Clinton, Jeffrey Geoghegan and wife Olena of
Cheshire; her grandchildren: Ryan Padraig, Kiley Rose, Colin Alexander, and Jack Dennis; and
ex-husband, Dennis Geoghegan of Port Charlotte, FL.
A graduate of Lauralton Hall (1964), Clare worked in the banking industry at Guilford Savings
Bank and most recently as Vice President and longtime Branch Manager of The Milford Bank
Woodmont office. In her retirement, she volunteered and worked for Habitat for Humanity.
Clare liked crafts, decorating, baking and hosting parties for the holidays. She especially loved
quilting, even selling items at craft fairs over the past few years. She enjoyed travelling and
spending time with family and friends.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation from 4:00pm – 6:00pm on Friday, February
28, 2025 at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford.
There will be a eulogy and closing prayer beginning at 5:45pm. Interment will be at the
convenience of the family.

Humanity of Greater New Haven (https://habitatgnh.org/donate/). Both organizations were close
to Clare’s heart.
