Claude J. Champagne of Milford, CT passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Cassena Care in Norwalk. He was the beloved husband of Margaret Champagne.
Claude was born on April 12, 1936 in Montreal, Canada to the late Joseph and Laurette Champagne. He proudly served in the US Airforce. Claude was a self employed sheetrocker for 22 years, then worked at Stop & Shop until he retired.
Claude took pride in being a great grandfather and grandfather. He loved fishing, bowling, reading and was a NY Mets fan.
In addition to his wife Margaret, Claude will be sadly missed by his children: Deanna Hiller and her husband, Mark and Denice Painter and her husband, Gregory and Derrick Champagne and his wife Jennifer; his brothers: Alain Champagne and Roch Champagne and his wife, Joan; his sister: Lola Lepore and her husband, Carmine; grandchildren: Valerie Kalunian, Danielle Marshall, Nicole Lawrence, Kelsey Herrmann, and Aimee Champagne; great- grandchildren: Alexander Kalunian, Madison Herrmann, Kingston Lawrence, and Kingsley Lawrence; as well as, many cousins, nephews, and nieces. Claude was predeceased by his parents, his sister Carole Marsala, and his brother, Serge Champagne.

Visitation with Military Honors will be from 4:00pm – 6:00pm on Friday, March 21, 2025 at the GREGORY F. DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, 291 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford. Prayers will be at 5:45pm with Military Honors to immediately follow. Interment will be at the convenience of Claude’s family.
