Congrats! Milford Boy Scouts Return From a Trip Down the Housatonic River

The seven day trek was a success.

Let’s hear it for 20 Boy Scouts from Troop 701 in Milford and their Scout leaders, who on Tuesday afternoon completed a 90-mile paddling trip down the Housatonic River from Massachusetts to Long Island Sound, the New Haven Register reports.

They left Milford last Wednesday and returned to Walnut Beach Tuesday afternoon, an hour ahead of schedule, the Register reports.

They departed with 22 kayaks, and lived off of freeze-dried food. Fortunately, for them they returned home to a cookout with fresh food.
