Congrats! Milford Man Wins Lottery

Milford man wins $255,555 in the Connecticut Lottery's 5 Card Cash.

Since ticket sales began for the CT Lottery’s 5 Card Cash draw game on May 4, 2014, more than 3,000,000 winning tickets have been sold. Today, Raza Sabahat of Milford joined that growing list of winners as the seventh lucky person to claim the game’s $255,555 top drawing prize.

On September 11th, the “cards” on Sabahat’s 5 Card Cash ticket were a perfect match to the winning hand drawn for that date: 5C - KS - KH - 9S - AS (5 of Clubs, King of Spades, King of Hearts, 9 of Spades, Ace of Spades). In addition to Sabahat’s $255,555 top prize winning ticket, 376 tickets contained a “Draw Win” match for prizes ranging from $20 to $555. A total of 20,302 tickets contained “Instant Win” prizes ranging from a $2 (free ticket) to $555.

Sabahat’s winning ticket was purchased at The News Den, located at 1370 New Haven Avenue, in Milford. The News Den will receive a $2,500 check from the CT Lottery for selling the ticket.
