Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro Visits Boys & Girls Club of Milford, CT

The Boys & Girls Club of Milford, CT hosted Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, of the U.S. House of Representatives, earlier this week.

The Boys & Girls Club of Milford, CT hosted Congresswoman Rosa DeLauro, of the U.S. House of Representatives, earlier this week. At the visit, the Congresswoman DeLauro visited the future location for the Club, as well as future goals for the organization.

Upon the return to the current location, Congresswoman DeLauro participated in the Healthy Snack program (Snackzilla) with Club members by making apple nachos. Together the group developed a recipe for apple nachos and enjoyed them together! The focus of the Snackzilla program is to learn about healthy choices and how the choices affect the body.

“It was wonderful for the Club members to meet and engage with Congresswoman DeLauro, a strong leader in our community,” said Megan Altomare, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Milford “Congresswoman DeLauro is a loyal supporter of the Club and we value the partnership immensely.”
