Convicted Felon Arrested On Gun Charges After Traffic Stop: Milford PD
Police said the man became "nervous and fidgety when the officer began the inventory search of the vehicle."
MILFORD, CT — A New Haven man was arrested on gun charges after a traffic stop early Monday morning in Milford, according to police.
An officer saw a vehicle leaving the Pilot Travel Center around 10 a.m. on Sept. 18, according to police.
Police said a check of the vehicle’s registration showed that the registration had been canceled and didn’t belong to the vehicle. A motor vehicle stop was initiated, and police said the driver was identified as Curtis Gore.

Gore was issued a misdemeanor summons for motor vehicle violations after an investigation, according to police. A tow truck was called to the scene to tow the unregistered and uninsured vehicle, according to police.
Police said Gore became “nervous and fidgety when the officer began the inventory search of the vehicle.”

After the search, police said the following illegal items were seized from the vehicle: two switchblades, one Ruger revolver, and six rounds of ammunition.
Gore, 53, is a convicted felon, according to police.
Gore was charged with six counts of criminal possession of ammunition, three counts of possession of weapons in a vehicle, and one count each of criminal possession of a pistol or revolver, improper use of registration, no insurance, and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. He was being held in lieu of a $10,000 bond with a court date of Oct. 18, according to state judicial records.
