Convicted Felon Threatens Woman With a Hammer: Milford Police

Milford police say the Milford resident, who is a convicted felon, also had knives and a gun in his vehicle.

A Milford man is being held on a $100,000 bond after he allegedly threatened a female with a hammer and police later discovered knives and a handgun in his vehicle, police said.

Police say on Tuesday at 6:20 p.m. police were called to an Edgefield Avenue home on a report of a domestic violence incident.

Investigation led to the arrest of Gary Wilcock, 54, of Merwin Avenue, who is accused of threatening a female with a hammer, police said.

Officers found Wilcock at a Devon establishment where he was taken into custody. Police later found two knives and a handgun inside Wilcock’s truck, police said.

Wilcock is a convicted felon who is not allowed to carry a firearm, police said.

He is charged with second-degree threatening, breach of peace, three counts of having a weapon in a motor vehicle, criminal possession of a gun, and carrying a pistol without a permit.
