Coronavirus In CT: 2 Residents Test Positive For Virus

The spread of the new coronavirus led Gov. Ned Lamont to limit business trips for state employees as schools plan online courses.

CONNECTICUT — As of Monday night, two Connecticut residents and two hospital employees have tested positive for the new coronavirus. One Wilton resident tested positive and officials are waiting to announce more details about the second case.

The two hospital employees are New York residents and work at Danbury, Norwalk and Bridgeport hospitals. On Monday, no new cases were reported in the state.

The state Department of Education urged primary and secondary school districts across the state to start thinking about online courses if schools need to be shut down.
