Courtney Honda Owner Sues Automaker To Block Franchise Termination: Report
The owner of Courtney Honda in Milford is suing the automaker in order to block Honda from terminating his franchise.

MILFROD, CT - The owner of Courtney Honda in Milford is suing the automaker in order to block Honda from terminating his franchise, as reported by the Connecticut Law Tribune. Stephen Courtney, the man who filed the lawsuit, has owned the dealership since 1986.
The termination attempt comes after the owner was convicted of nine misdemeanors in two states, according to the Connecticut Law Tribune. In May, Honda informed him it intended to terminate its franchise agreement with the dealership due in part to these charges. (To sign up for Milford breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
Last year, the suspect pleaded nolo contendere to six misdemeanors that took place three years prior in Connecticut, and also pleaded guilty to separate charges in New York, according to the Connecticut Law Tribune. Courtney is now seeking compensatory and punitive damages.
