CT Gov. Malloy Appointees Receive Raises Between 3 and 12 Percent
The raises will cost taxpayers $1.4 million.

Christmas has come early for 200 of Connecticut Gov. Dannel P. Malloy’s appointees, who received raises totaling between 3 and 12 percent, CT News Junkie, which covers the State Capitol reports.
The raises include 36 agency heads and Malloy’s staff. For example, state Department of Children and Families Commissioner Joette Katz will see her pay increase from $153,000 to $172,000.
Additionally, Office of Policy and Management Secretary Ben Barnes is also receiving a 12 percent pay increase and his pay will rise from $186,000 to $209,000.

The raises will cost taxpayers $1.4 million, and the rationale is most of these individuals have not received raises in four years.
