CONNECTICUT — If you woke up Thursday morning wondering where is the snow, it's still coming according to the National Weather Service, it's just beginning later than expected.
Initially, rain was expected to change to all snow around 4 a.m. Thursday, but now that has been pushed back to 7 a.m.-8 a.m. for much of the state, though some towns are already reporting some mixing.
A winter weather advisory has been issued for coastal sections of southern Connecticut where two inches of snow is expected and for the remainder of the state an inch or two is expected.

Many school districts across the state have cancelled due to the timing of the expected snow. The weather service cautions that roads may be slippery during the morning commute.

Southern Connecticut forecast details via the weather service
- Midnight: 21 percent chance of precipitation; 37 degrees
- 3 a.m.: 56 percent chance of precipitation; 36 degrees
- 6 a.m.: 77 percent chance of precipitation; 33 degrees
- 9 a.m.: 87 percent chance of precipitation; 31 degrees
- Noon: 74 percent chance of precipitation; 31 degrees
- 3 p.m.: 16 percent chance of precipitation; 30 degrees
There is a slight chance of rain before midnight, snow is forecast to mix in after 4 a.m. and taper off around noon. A total of 2 inches of snow is forecast to accumulate in southern Connecticut.
Northern Connecticut details via the weather service
- Midnight: 11 percent chance of precipitation; 37 degrees
- 3 a.m.: 55 percent chance of precipitation; 37 degrees
- 6 a.m.: 69 percent chance of precipitation; 31 degrees
- 9 a.m.: 58 percent chance of precipitation; 30 degrees
- Noon: 31 percent chance of precipitation; 30 degrees
- 3 p.m.: 1 percent chance of precipitation; 28 degrees
There is a slight chance of rain before midnight, snow is forecast to mix in after 4 a.m. and taper off before noon. A total of 1.6 inches of snow is forecast to accumulate in northern Connecticut.
