CT Weather: Snow, Ice, Rain, 55 MPH Wind Gusts Forecast Monday
The National Weather Service issued warnings and advisories in advance of a potent storm. Here are the latest updates on what to expect.

CONNECTICUT — The National Weather Service has expanded its winter weather advisory to inland sections of Fairfield and New Haven counties in advance of a strong storm that will impact the state late Sunday and Monday.
A winter weather advisory had already been issued for Hartford, Tolland, Windham, and Litchfield counties. Most areas of the state will see 1-3 inches of snow and possibly some ice before the precipitation changes to all rain Monday morning as temperatures moderate quickly.
Litchfield County could see the most snow, and it's possible that 3-7 inches could accumulate here, the weather service said. Areas along the immediate coast could see up to an inch of snow initially, but that will be wiped away by heavy rain overnight.

Special Weather Statement details for the I-95 corridor towns and northern Middlesex County
In a special weather statement, the National Weather Service says light snow and spotty light freezing rain are possible this evening.
"As temperatures slowly rise this evening, light snow should quickly change over to rain across Long Island, New York City and the suburbs just north and west, and across coastal and
southeastern Connecticut, with at least a coating of accumulation, and as much as an inch farther away from the coast," the weather service said.
"As precipitation mixes with and changes to rain, road temperatures in these areas may still be below freezing even as air temperatures slowly rise to the mid and upper 30s, and a light
glaze of ice may be possible on untreated surfaces. So plan on slippery conditions this evening even as temperatures slowly rise," the weather service said.
