Firm Awarded $78 Million Contract For Renovation of Platt Technical HS

The contract is for the renovation and expansion of Platt Technical High School in Milford.

Danbury-based Morganti Group has been awarded a $78 million project for the renovation of Platt Technical High School in Milford.

The $78 million major renovation is part of a statewide technical school Capital Improvement Plan initiated in 2014, which promotes a healthy and safe school environment, provides state-of-the-art facilities and equipment and responds to Connecticut’s industry needs while addressing projected student demand.

The new Platt Technical High School will include a renovation of approximately 208,299 square feet of the existing facility, featuring classrooms, shops, labs, and offices, along with approximately 25,847 total square feet of various new additions.

The building will be designed to meet Connecticut High Performance Building Standards as designed by Drummey, Rosane and Anderson (DRA) Architects.

“(Morganti) is excited to start this project; we are looking forward to continuing our successful relationship with the state and DRA Architects to develop an exceptional place of learning for the students at Platt Technical High School,” President and CEO Nabila Takla said in a statement.
