David Tovar

David Tovar, age 59, of Milford, beloved husband of Sandra Jimenez for 25 years, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 26, 2026 surrounded by his loving family at Griffin Hospital. David was born on July 10, 1967 in Mexico City, Mexico to Lazaro Tovar and the late Rosa Ellia Osorio. He dedicated many years of his professional life to the telecommunications industry, working as a network engineer.

David cherished time spent with his family. He especially enjoyed bringing everyone together for family barbecues, sharing good food, laughter and making lasting memories. He had a love for 1980s music and took great pleasure in his collection of vinyl records. David was also particularly proud of the beard he had grown, a small but memorable part of his personality. He will be remembered for the simple joys and, most importantly, the love he had for his family.

In addition to his beloved wife Sandra, David is survived by his loving children, Christian R. Tovar of Milford, Jessica D. Tovar of Stratford and twin daughters, Sophia M. Tovar and Lillian M. Tovar both of Milford. He is also survived by his father, Lazaro Tovar; his siblings, Rosanna Urtaza, Alberto Tovar, Geraldo Tovar and Lazaro Tovar; and many cherished nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Rodolfo Urtaza.

A Celebration of Life will be held in David's honor, at Bridge House Restaurant, 49 Bridgeport Avenue, Milford on Sunday November 8th from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Arrangements have been entrusted to THE GREGORY DOYLE FUNERAL HOME, Milford.
