Delena J. Hulse, 84 of Milford CT, Passed away on January 18, 2025

Delena J. Hulse, beloved wife of the late Brian R. Hulse, went home to be with the Lord on January 18, 2025, after a brief illness. Delena was born on a snowy Christmas Eve, December 24, 1940, in Paterson, NJ, to the late Herbert and Irene Herron.

She was raised in Little Falls, NJ, until relocating with her family to Milford, CT when she was 13 years old. After coming to Milford, she formed many friendships which lasted over 70 years.
Delena was a devout Christian woman who found unwavering strength in her faith with God as the anchor of her life. She dedicated much of her time to serving the church where her kindness and devotion touched countless lives. She was the beloved host of her Coffee Talk Group which met every Tuesday until just before Christmas 2024. Delena fostered meaningful connections within her church family.

Outside of her spiritual commitments, Delena found joy in hosting her family for holidays and birthdays. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed sitting on her screened in porch taking in all the sights that nature had to offer. She loved her little gardens, cooking and baking. In her free time, she enjoyed meeting up with her friends at the YMCA to swim. Adventurous at heart, Delena and her husband took 2 cross country trips after retirement and had many other vacations over the years. Delena worked for many years as a legal secretary for Lynch, Trembicki and Boynton. She loved her work family.

Delena is survived by her children Debra Robinson-Gaglione, Jon Robinson, Jr. (Linda), Denise Treiber (Kurt), her Stepchildren Scott Hulse (Holly), Gregory Hulse (Sheri), Lori Stein (David), Grandchildren Matthew Porter, Savanah Robinson (Noah), Amber Robinson, Ashley Allen (Roland), Kenneth Hulse (Victoria), Christopher Hulse (Danielle), Stephanie Ayala (Ken), Geoffrey Hulse (Kelsey), Ashley Hulse (Meredith), Hannah Stein and Erica Stein. She is also survived by 14 Great Grandchildren. Survived by brother in law Michael Abeling, brother-in-law Brad Hulse, sister in law Beverly Lebel (Wayne), Niece Janet and Nephew Tim and a Cousin Sandy.

Delena was predeceased by her brothers and their spouses: Jack Herron (Margie), Samuel "Bud" Herron (Charlotte), Kenneth "Bob" Herron (Jean), her sister Patricia Abeling, her mother-in-law Gladys Hulse, father-in-law Clifford Hulse, and sister-in-law Barbara Wolf.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 8, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. at Kingdom Life Christian Center (1455 Naugatuck Ave, Milford CT) with a funeral service to begin at 12:15 p.m. Interment will be held privately by the family.
