'Dreadful' Weather To Last For Days: CT Weather
Parts of Connecticut are reporting snow and sleet this morning. Isn't Memorial Day a couple of weeks away?

CONNECTICUT — If you're looking for dry weather then circle Wednesday, May 15 on your calendar. We will see continued rain today on Mother's Day, more rain Monday and rain showers on Tuesday. You'll also notice the temps, as we'll be 15 to 20 degrees below where we normally are at this time of year. Some parts of the state are seeing snow and sleet this morning, reports NBC CT Chief Meteorologist Ryan Hanrahan.
Today's weather will more resemble March weather as we're dealing with a cold rain as temps are falling into the mid 40s across the state this afternoon. The rain won't be heavy today but it's expected to fall for most of the day and evening.
"Rain and cool conditions are expected today ... A gusty east wind will develop, resulting in temperatures only rising into the upper 40s to near 50, which is about 15 to 20 degrees below normal for this time of year. Highs temperatures will be reached in the morning, and then slowly fall throughout the day," the National Weather Service says.

"The steady rain tapers off somewhat tonight, however, there will remain a chance for light rain or drizzle. The unseasonably cool and unsettled conditions will continue into the beginning of the
new work week as another area of low pressure impacts the area. Additionally, an extended period of easterly flow may cause some minor coastal flooding during the high tide cycles from Sunday
night through Monday night. Drier and warmer conditions are expected to return on Wednesday," the National Weather Service.
