Driver Suffers Life-Threatening Injuries In Milford I-95 Crash
A driver was trapped after their car was pinned against a tree in a Wednesday accident. State police have released an update on the crash.

MILFORD, CT — A car careened down an embankment and struck a tree, trapping the driver in a Wednesday accident.
Firefighters managed to rescue the driver, who suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash.
State police said the incident began when a tractor trailer was driving on I-95 southbound north of exit 39B in the center lane at 1:44 p.m.

A Ford Escape driving in the right lane veered into the center lane for an unknown reason, hitting the tractor-trailer. The Ford then lost control and spun out 180 degrees, hitting the guardrail.
The car then continued down an embankment and hit a tree.

Firefighters arrived at the scene of the accident and extricated the driver, who was trapped in the car.
The driver was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment of life-threatening injuries. No other injuries were reported.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
