On April 26, 2014 the Milford Police Department and the Milford Prevention Council in conjunction with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) hosted a “Drug Take Back Day” event at the Milford Senior Center located at 9 Jepson Drive. During this four hour event, 400 pounds of unwanted prescription drugs were collected from the public as part of a nationwide initiative to prevent prescription drug abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs. The drop off location was organized as a “drive thru” setup where members from the Milford Prevention Council volunteered during this very successful event.
Please visit the DEA website at www.dea.gov for future Drug Take Back Day events.
