The accused was intoxicated at the time of the accident and she is charged with second-degree manslaughter with a vehicle, State Police say.

ORANGE, CT — A 22-year-old Milford woman is charged with second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle and DUI for the May 2017 fatal accident involving a Stratford man in Orange, State Police said.

State Police say Taylor Madison Stanford, 22, of High Street in Milford was arrested this weekend for her role in the fatal accident from 2017, which occurred on Route 15 South near Exit 57 in Orange. The victim was Michael J. Zawadski, 45, of Judson Place in Stratford.

Stanford was released after posting a $50,000 bond. State Police said Zawadski's vehicle was traveling in the right lane when Stanford's car was traveling southbound in the left travel lane at a high rate of speed.
